At Fundació Natura Parc, we work actively on the recovery, maintenance, and promotion of native Balearic breeds (such as the Porc Negre, the Gallina Mallorquina, the Me Mallorquí, or the Ca de Bestiar). Many of these species have been in danger of extinction due to changes in modern agriculture. Our goal is to guarantee their survival, promoting their immense biological, historical, and cultural value for our islands.

The loss of a native breed means the disappearance of a unique and irrecoverable genetic heritage. Supporting their conservation brings great benefits to our environment:
We protect the local ecological balance by maintaining species that have evolved for centuries in our territory.
These are animals perfectly adapted to the Balearic climate and terrain, making them hardier and more resistant to local diseases.
We keep alive the trades, traditions, and visual identity of the Mallorcan countryside.
We are in Santa Eugènia. If you have questions about our animal and environmental recovery work, need information about the Domestic Animal Protection Center (CEPAD), the Wildlife Control Service, or want to know how to collaborate with Fundació Natura Parc, write to us and we will respond as soon as possible.
Join our work and help us guarantee the well-being of the animals that need it most. Your support makes our daily work possible.
