CEPAD is the department in charge of the collection, care, and management of adoptions for companion animals (mainly dogs and cats) that have been abandoned or lost. We provide comprehensive veterinary care, socialization, affection, and a safe and clean environment, while actively working to find them responsible families that provide the life and respect they deserve.
We work tirelessly to guarantee the rescue and care of abandoned or lost domestic animals. We manage protection centers offering continuous care, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

To adopt a dog, first check the DOGS tab to find the reference number of the animal you are interested in. Contact us at 685 944 899 to check availability or to schedule a visit. If an animal is marked as RESERVED, it means there is already an interested party. Adoption involves microchipping, issuing a passport, rabies vaccination, and mandatory sterilization at our center. Costs can be found in the RATES tab. For PPP (Potentially Dangerous Dogs), a corresponding license must be presented.
Check the CATS tab for images and information using the reference number. Call 685 944 899 for availability. Adoption includes a microchip, passport, and mandatory sterilization at our center. All fees (see RATES tab) must be paid at the time of adoption, and an appointment for the procedure will be provided.
There is currently a waiting list for horses, donkeys, and ponies. Requirements include microchipping, a passport, and the property where the animal will stay must be registered in the Livestock Holdings Registry (REGA). To join the list, email cepad@cepad.es with your contact details and the type of animal you want.
If you find a lost animal, notify the LOCAL POLICE of the municipality where it was found. They will contact our technicians for collection if necessary. CEPAD CANNOT collect a lost animal without a prior request from the corresponding municipality.
If your animal is at CEPAD:
Notify us at 685 944 899.
Go to the town hall where it was collected to pay the municipal fee and request collection authorization (bring the animal’s passport).
For PPP dogs, authorization and a license are mandatory for release.
Schedule a pickup appointment at CEPAD with all documentation. Owners are responsible for maintenance and vaccination costs.
To surrender an animal, you must request an appointment at 685 944 899, SUBJECT TO SPACE AVAILABILITY. The surrender fee is €250 (dogs and cats), and the owner must sign a surrender document and provide a copy of their ID.
